If you have been invited to a baby shower, then you want to bring a gift that you know the parent-to-be will like and that they will get a lot of use out of once their new baby arrives. One gift idea that can be a fantastic choice to give them is a baby basket that is full of a lot of useful things. This article will give you ideas on some of the different baby items you can put in a basket to give them one that will prove to be a very useful gift. The first thing you want to do is purchase a large basket, so you can stuff it full of helpful goodies. Then, try to include most of these baby items in the basket:
Receiving blankets: Most new parents will get tons of use out of receiving blankets because they can be used for so many different purposes. They can be found with a lot of different designs on them too, so you can find blankets that will go with the theme they plan on decorating the nursery in.
A stuffed animal: No baby shower gift basket would be complete without a nice and fluffy stuffed animal that the baby can cuddle and play with once it is old enough to appreciate it. If the parents have already selected an animal theme, then try to incorporate that animal into your buying decision process. For example, if they are going with ducks, then try to put a stuffed duck in the basket.
A pack of stage one diapers: You'll find that the parent to be will probably end up getting a lot of packs of newborn diapers at their shower and the truth is, most newborns will outgrow this size rather quickly. Therefore, by getting them the next stage up and putting them in the basket, you will be giving something they will need shortly after having the baby.
A bath set: You should also consider putting a complete baby bath set in the basket. You can find bath sets that include wash cloths, a towel, baby shampoo, baby lotion and baby soap. Even if other people also give bath sets, the new parent will go through all of them.
A pack of baby health products: You should also include a pack of baby health products. Some examples of these things include nail clippers, a thermometer, a bottle of infant fever reducing drops, a bottle of Pedialyte and an ice pack for those times when the baby starts crawling and bumps their little head.
